Terms and Conditions applying to CannySites.com Web Services

1. The client - company or the person that is liable for the payment of the fee.

2. The contract - is between CannySites.com and the client.

3. The service, where the service includes web site design and is not, in the opinion of CannySites.com, an ancillary service, includes up to one hour of personal consultation with a member of the CannySites.com team.

4. No work shall commence on the construction of the client's web site or other required web services including arrangement of domain name registration or website hosting until the contract is signed and returned to CannySites.com. Once the contract has been returned and completed, the client shall exchange all information required for the construction of their chosen web site design. From the date that all information is received the design will be available for approval after 14 days, unless prior notification of a delay is made to the client by CannySites.com.

5. The client is wholly responsible for ensuring that their chosen domain or operating/trading name is not copyright or trademarked by another body. CannySites.com will hold no responsibility in any such disputes and will surrender such a domain if lawfully requested. The client will usually be charged for any costs that this may incur.

6. The client is wholly responsible for the content of all copy and images inserted into their web-site. All content will normally be provided by the client. Alterations to submitted content will be accepted up to and including 7 days from the date on which the completed design is first made available ('the viewing period'), except where previously agreed otherwise by CannySites.com. Alterations submitted after this date may incur a separate service charge, in the case where the work required is deemed significant by the CannySites.com team.

7. The chosen package will incur the cost specified by CannySites.com. Depending upon the level of complexity and the amount of additional services required (e.g. conversion of photographs to electronically publishable format) the price specified by CannySites.com will vary and will be payable in full no more than 7 days after the finalised website is agreed. A non-returnable deposit and securing bond, normally 25% of the original agreed price, is required before any work begins on the chosen package. No site will become live until CannySites.com has received full payment (for cheque payments this will include a 5 working day clearing period with the bank).

8. The domain name will be registered under the name of CannySites.com on behalf of the client. Full control of the domain will remain with CannySites.com for the specified contract duration. If the contract is not renewed at expiration, full access information for the domain will be passed on to the client and the domain will be released for transfer to the client. This information may be provided to the client mid-term of a specified contract period; however, this might attract an additional release fee.

9. All intellectual property contained within the site (this excludes the information provided by the client) will remain the property of CannySites.com.

10. All web sites created by CannySites.com will bear the legible signature and disclaimer of CannySites.com and will be listed in the "Sample Sites" section of the CannySites.com website by means of a screen-shot of the site and a textual link to the site. This link will be changed to point to an archived version of the website created by CannySites.com in the event that a contract for a particular website expires.

11. CannySites.com reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without prior notification.
