Write for Sapling.info

The core of Sapling.info is, and always has been, reviewing architecture, planning and landscape-related websites for inclusion in our database, and we are currently looking to commission a freelancer or student to help us with this task.

At present, we anticipate there being two to three days of paid consultancy work, with scope for more, on an ad hoc basis, in the future. We are looking for someone who will be able to update some of our 1,100 existing reviews, and to identify and review new sites that are not currently listed at Sapling.info.

We need someone who shares Sapling.info’s passion for and knowledge of the built environment, who is able to write accurately and engagingly in English, and who can work from a computer in their own home or office.

However, we would prefer someone within reasonable travelling distance of Gateshead, so that we can meet you face to face if necessary!

By working with us, you will get excellent experience for your CV as a contributor to one of the most long-established, popular and respected built environment gateway sites. All reviews that you edit or write will also be credited with your initials, linking to your name and profile on Sapling.info’s People page.

1) Brief details of your relevant knowledge, experience and skills.

2) A new Sapling.info-style review of a site not currently listed within our database – it can be any site of your choice, but must be worthy of inclusion and fit within our themes.

3) An updated review of any site currently listed at Sapling.info, and that was last reviewed in 2010 or earlier – again, the choice of site is up to you, but your updated review should check that all the key details are correct and highlight any significant changes since the last visit.
