CannySites.com’s Property & Building Directory celebrates a successful first year

CannySites.com’s Property & Building Directory, launched a year ago, has marked its first birthday by generating record traffic during September 2016.

An online marketing business is celebrating after the latest addition to its network of websites proved a success with users and advertisers.

Gateshead-based CannySites.com runs a series of directory sites covering the home, garden, holidays, fashion and property. Aimed at UK consumers, each one is designed to showcase businesses in those sectors, and combines searchable directory listings with original resource content such as competitions, offers and tips.

The latest addition, the Property & Building Directory, launched a year ago, and has marked its first birthday by generating record traffic during September 2016.

Talking about the site, CannySites.com owner Graham Soult commented:

“Since we first created our Home Interiors Directory and Garden & Landscape Directory a decade ago, we’ve often had requests to feature businesses that didn’t quite fit with those topics – roofers, surveyors or letting agents, for example.

“Now, the Property & Building Directory fills that gap, and we are very pleased with the positive reaction so far.

“Businesses operating in the property and home improvement sector have responded really well to the advertising options that we offer on the site, including directory listings and sponsored content. The site’s fully-responsive design – mirroring the new look that we have already rolled out to the Fashion & Style Directory and Holiday & Travel Directory – has also generated excellent feedback.

“We’re delighted to have over 80 UK businesses currently working with us to promote their products and services via the site, including estate agents, builders, insurance providers, bathroom companies and more.

“We’ve also been building up our dedicated @PBDPropertyTips Twitter and Facebook, so that we have other channels for engaging with the companies and consumers who use the Property & Building Directory.

“These days, clients looking to promote themselves online expect the marketing businesses they work with to be socially savvy. By having 1,600 Twitter followers, all interested in this specific sector, we’re able to demonstrate that we know what we’re doing, and give our advertisers added value by helping them tap into this audience.”
